Visit the Hobby Chest in Ottumwa for craft supplies, toys, and see lots of model trains

The Hobby Chest in Ottumwa touts itself as Southeast Iowa’s largest hobby store.  My wife went undercover to verify this.

#55 – The Sweet Smell of Leather

Visit Pathfinder Leather, Old world craftsmanship, one of a kind purses, sandals, and moccasins.

#2 – Go Antiquing

Tour Ottumwa’s antique stores, Kelly Reed Antiques, 641-682-2271, Phil Taylor Antiques, 641-682-7492, Sandie’s Antique Mall, 641-683-1272.

I was on a mission of decoration.  A goal was in mind, a purpose laid forth, and a plan laid out.

Not on the List – Art Walk

On a Saturday afternoon, the gala art community of Ottumwa closed down two streets and put their wares on display.

#89 – The one where we go to market

Visit Farmers Market in the Market Street parking lot, Ottumwa, Wednesdays, 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm and Saturdays, 7:30 am – 10:30 am throughout the summer.

I am not ashamed to admit it, but I like markets.  I spent a bit of time in Europe, and visiting the markets on Saturday morning was always a great thing to do – so much activity, such a variety of stuff, so many people to see.
