“Done In Ottumwa” is my response to everyone who asks me what there is to do in Ottumwa, Iowa. Having grown up in small towns, then lived in Chicago for more than a decade, the return to the small towns of the Midwest was yet another change of pace.
The town Chamber of Commerce published a list of 101 things to do. I’ll be covering as many of those as I can and adding others which strike my fancy. I’ll be serious and snarky – often in the same post – but aim to show everyone it is not just corn and farmer’s daughters in Iowa.
Though I’d be okay with more farmer daughters.
